A site and community dedicated to the use of ASTM CCR standard for health data and information exchange

Starting in 2003, a group of physicians, nurses, technologists and laypersons with an interest in making a change for the better using health information technology came together under the auspices of the standards body ASTM International.  The result of that grassroots effort has been the development, publication, and delployment of the CCR standard (ASTM E2369 -05), an open and free-of-royalty, W3C compliant content standard and XML schema, for capture and exchange of an individual's most relevant personal health information.

Over the past few years, the numbers of people, projects, documents, and resource information about the CCR standard have grown and become increasingly full of knowledge and experience, but until now they have been somewhat scattered and hard to locate for the newcomer.

David C. Kibbe, MD and Steven Waldren, MD have started this Website to help organize these resources and present them to the growing community of CCR standard users.  We will be recruiting an Advisory Board to guide the future content of this site.   Feel free to help us collect, organize, and publish this information.   You can reach us via email at dkibbe@aafp.org and/or swaldren@aafp.org .  We do not receive any financial sponsorship for www.CCRstandard.com
